This page is outdated. The information on the page may be incorrect. |
In DayZ Borealis, in addition to the usual vanilla buildings, there are new buildings that player can build. These buildings are divided by Humanity System Factions and consist of several levels to build which the player must have a certain humanity system faction level.
As of Version 1.1 there are 3 levels of buildings for each faction (except Survivors). Each building will require different resources, for example, level 1 buildings will only need nails, planks and scrap metal, and level 3 buildings: stones, concrete, bricks, glass and etc.
In DayZ Borealis, construction is disabled in and around cities/towns/villages.

Locks
DayZ Borealis also adds several new types of locks.
6-Dial Combination Lock
6-Dial Combination Lock is a continuation of Vanilla Combination Locks with the only difference being that this 6-Dial Combination Lock is almost impossible to pick at random.
Key Lock
Key Lock is a new kind of lock for level 1-2 buildings. It consists of two parts: the lock itself and the key.
The lock opens and closes with a key. For a key to fit a specific lock, the lock must be open and then you will have an action to combine them. The number of keys that can be combined with a lock is unlimited.
Key Lock can also be used on the vanilla gate.
Electronic Code Lock
Electronic Code Lock is a new kind of lock for level 3 buildings. The Electronic Code Lock can have a combination of 1 to 6 digits.
Each Electronic Code Lock has an owner after installation. Any other player can try to enter the password. If the password is correct - the player will be added to the lock's memory and he will no longer have to enter the password, if the password is not correct - after 5 incorrect attempts the player will lose up to 25% health and he will be electrocuted - the player will lose consciousness for an extended amount of time.
To remove Electronic Code Lock, you need to use a screwdriver. Only lock's owner can remove it.
Electronic Code Lock can be used only on level 3 buildings.
